Bait and Tackle ShopAt Five Corners, we recognize our importance not only to the local fishing community, but also to summer residents and vacationers, and we pride ourselves on friendly and knowledgable service.

As Crystal Lake's only Bait & Tackle Shop, we're just around the corner from the public boat launch. We offer an assortment of equipment to meet your fishing needs—whether you're hitting the lake or wading one of the area's many streams and rivers.

Bait and Tackle Shop

We're a licensed minnow dealer and always keep fresh supplies of seasonal bait on hand, and we'll share any information we have about the current "hot spots," as well as what's working and what's just being dragged through the water.

If something goes wrong with your favorite fishing rod or reel, we can provide repair services. We're also a DNR retail license agent.

Stop in, have a cup of coffee, and tell us what you need. If we don't have it, we'll do our best to get it for you.

Remember, we are the only Bait and Tackle shop on Crystal Lake, we make your search for bait as convenient as possible. When you have to run back to shore for minnows or wigglers, you can walk instead of drive to our door. We keep our new "baitquarium" stocked with the best minnows available.

Our hours are currently 7:30 to 5:30 Mon-Sat, 7:30 to 3:00 Sun.

September 2 - Here is the latest news we've gathered from our customers, the DNR, and various other sources:

Crystal Lake
Perch fishing has been fair along the deeper drop-offs. Some lake trout are being caught.

Platte Lake
Walleye fishing is improving slightly.

Platte Bay
Coho are being caught in the East Bay using green spoons or J-plugs, 20 feet off the bottom in 60 to 100 feet of water. The occasional chinook is also being caught.

Frankfort - Chinook are staging in the bay, but the air and water temperatures have made it hit or miss. Some coho were also caught recently off the pier.

Betsie River
Chinook are slowly creeping into the river, which has been very low; however, some rain should start triggering larger runs.

Maybe it's an old rod, or a downrigger mount, or something else that's just taking up space in your garage, attic, or basement. Or, maybe you're looking for a part for that special reel, or you need a particular wading shoe and you don't want to spring for the full-price version.

In some cases, these items are available at our store; other items are offered or sought by by the public.

We encourage you to check out what's available. If you have something to sell, or if you're looking for a particular item, contact us for a free listing! All we need is a description of the item, a price, and some contact information.
